The National Center for Arts & Technology (NCAT), a division of Manchester Bidwell Corporation (MBC), works with cities to replicate the Manchester Bidwell educationalt model. Replication refers to the process by which a community works collaboratively with the NCAT team to create and open a Center for Arts and Technology to provide arts education for youth and career training for adults 18 years and older. NCAT also encourages Centers to develop entrepreneurial ventures designed to support their respective operations. A vital aspect of replication is the creation of the Manchester Bidwell culture among staff and students based on MBC's core values, which are respect, listen, shape, embrace, and influence.

In FY 2014-15, to accomplish its operational and programmatic goals for a growing, global network of Centers for Arts & Technology, NCAT expanded its human resources. Paulo Nzambi, formerly the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Manchester Bidwell Corporation, was named the Chief Operating Officer of NCAT. In addition, Bill Schlachter, Melanie Gibson, and Katherine Schouten were hired as the Director of External Relations, Adult Career Training Liaison, and Youth Arts Liaison, respectively.

Part X, Line 2

Explanation: Accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America require the Organization's management to evaluate tax positions taken by the Organization and recognize a tax liability (or asset) if the Organization has taken a position that is uncertain. An uncertain position is defined as one in which there is a 50% or greater likelihood that the position will not be sustained upon examination by a taxing authority. Management has analyzed the tax positions taken by the Organization and has concluded that, as of June 30, 2015, there are no uncertain tax positions taken or expected to be taken. The Organization has recognized no interest or penalties related to uncertain tax positions. The Organization is subject to routine audits by taxing jurisdictions; however, there are currently no audits for any tax periods in progress. Management believes the Organization is no longer subject to income tax examinations for years prior to 2011.

IRS990/Desc0NATIONAL CENTER FOR ARTS AND TECHNOLOGY has broken down the replication process into four phases: cultivation, feasibility, planning, and implementation/maintenance. In 2014-15, NCAT provided cultivation tours for 36 cities, marking the start of their replication journey. NCAT began the feasibility stage of replication with five cities, including Akko, Israel; Vancouver, British Columbia; Denver, Colorado; Laurel Valley, Pennsylvania; Los Angeles California; and Tacoma, Washington. Also in 2014-15, the planning phase was under way in Akko, Israel; Sharon, Ohio; Chicago, Illinois; the U.S. Virgin Islands; and Vancouver, British Columbia. Additionally, there are currently eight Centers for Arts and Technology in THE implementation/maintenance PHASE across the United States. NCAT developed a number of resources for cities in various phases of replication, including professional development opportunities and software platforms. Foremost among these achievements has been the development of the Temoku proprietary software, designed by NCAT for use in all Centers for Arts and Technology (CATs) to track operational, programmatic, and demographic data related to youth arts programming. Similarly, the STARS software, developed by Training Masters, is intended for use in all CATs to track operational, programmatic, and demographic data related to adult career training. Finally, NCAT has made a Website template available to all CATs, designed by Acuta Digital and pre-populated with NCAT-approved language and graphics. This allows consistency in messaging and branding standards across all CATs. Steve Sarowitz and Michael Lowry were recruited to serve on NCAT's advisory board.

IRS990/MissionDesc0The National Center for Arts & Technology (NCAT), a division of Manchester Bidwell Corporation (MBC), works with cities to replicate the Manchester Bidwell educationalt model. Replication refers to the process by which a community works collaboratively with the NCAT team to create and open a Center for Arts and Technology to provide arts education for youth and career training for adults 18 years and older. NCAT also encourages Centers to develop entrepreneurial ventures designed to support their respective operations. A vital aspect of replication is the creation of the Manchester Bidwell culture among staff and students based on MBC's core values, which are respect, listen, shape, embrace, and influence.
