Low Income Housing: We provide rentals at 50% of market cost. These go to families and individuals in crisis, often and chronically under-employed. If they default we try to work with them. Often they must leave and significant renewal of premises required. We forgive debt when appropriate to get them on track.$0$17,001
Aftercare: adult males that are recovering addicts or homeless. They are expected to work for the House of Pride and/or pay $300/month rent. They participate in groups and receive peer-to-peer support and support by the director. 9 men benefitted Estimated 33% were better off at 1 yr. post.$0$15,753
Rent Forgiveness & Emergency sheltering. We help motivated individuals having trouble maintaining domicile by meeting with them and discussing ways they can manage to pay their rent. This goes with Emergency sheltering. We put people in need up in motels to give them a chance to get things together.$4,750$0
Community Outreach: We buy and distribute USDA foods and donated food from supermarkets, housewares and clothing to local elderly and community in general. We also connect people to services including VA. This effort is in large done by Aftercare participants. Costs are negligible.$0$0
