“Chartered in 1975, the Reston Chapter of The Links, Incorporated has a long standing commitment to providing exceptional service programs to residents in Northern Virginia. The award-winning programming of Reston Chapter mirrors that of our national organization. We have five programming facets: The Arts, Health and Human Services, International Trends and Services, National Trends and Services, and Services to Youth. Our programs are implemented through various approaches, including public information and education, economic development, public policy campaigns, partnerships and collaborations, and volunteerism, all involving and including our community members. Focused on uplifting our community through signature programming, our chapter provides information and services to empower underserved children and aging adults in the Northern Virgnina area.Our main programsa are as follows:- Services to Youth- Level UpReston Links chartered the Nation Association of Black Engineers for Youth Chapter. Provide scholarships to promising graduating seniors in international trends and service in Jamaica and on the continent. Africa sponsors education programming. Health and Human Services actively participates in community events, such as the DMV Red Dress event, which features a weekend of education and activities around heart health. This engagement helps us connect with the community and spread awareness about important health issues. Black Family Expo health fair, health screening and dental screening, and public health education for the area.”
