Acquiring and displaying such items preserve the historical significance of the mission inn built over 100 years ago, and allow current and future generations to step back in the past and view what was here a century ago. During the 2015-16 fiscal year, documents and artifacts were donated to the foundation, that was from a collection of frank miller, founder of the mission inn, that was displayed at the mission inn a hundred years ago, including a john muir manuscript edition, v. 1-10, 1913, a japanese match-lock-rifle-tanageshima-1730-1868 and various other documents/artifacts of historical significance.”
