“The pensacola symphony orchestra guild (psog) is a non-profit, charitable and educational organization whose purpose is to promote seasonal pensacola symphony orchestra memberships, increase knowledge and appreciation of music throughout our local community, and to provide opportunities for volunteerism in support of the pensacola symphony orchestra.”

“Part of the mission of the guild is to provide financial support for the pensacola symphony orchestra. To that end, the guild held 5 different fundraising events during the year: a sunset cruise on the bay, a salon concert at the home of ellen vinson, a holiday bazaar and paddle raise, a culinary dinner at pensacola state college, and a swing jazz event at v. Paul's. The total net income from those events was 32,639.60. With additional income from monthly luncheons and miscellaneous donations, we donated 37,000 to the pso at the end of may, 2025.”

“In addition, the guild supports the pso with volunteers. The pso has two major outreach events each year. For the two days of the 5th grade concerts, the guild provided 27 volunteers. For the family day event at the saenger theatre, the guild provided 16 volunteers. The guild provides volunteers to help manage the events at uwf when the pso auditions potential new musicians. The guild provides gift bags to each visiting artist that the pso hires for the masterworks concerts to welcome them to pensacola.”

“Finally, the guild provides support to our pso musicians. When the pso provides dinners for the musicians, the guild decorates the tables and serves the food. For each pso concert, guild volunteers prepare food and drinks to serve to the musicians at intermission.”
