“The standard of behavior at California Wilderness Coalition (CalWild) is that all staff, volunteers, and Board members scrupulously avoid conflicts of interest. The purposes of this policy are to protect the integrity of CalWilds decision-making process, to enable our constituencies to have confidence in our integrity, and to protect the integrity and reputations of staff, volunteers, and board members. Before election, hiring or appointment, CalWild will require applicants to make a full written disclosure of interests, relationships, and holdings that could potentially result in a conflict of interest. We keep these disclosures on file. There are minutes of any meeting at which potential conflicts are discussed include the material facts considered. Board members review annually the conflict of interest policy for purposes of identifying and reviewing transactions or relationships that have the potential to lead to conflict of interest - actual or an appearance of conflict - among the interests of CalWild and its personal, professional, business, or other interests.”

“OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: Other Program Accomplishments: CalWild also has active legislation in the Central Coast, northwest, and San Gabriel Mountains. Throughout the Sierra Nevada and northwestern California, we lead efforts to administratively protect roadless areas, wilderness areas, and wild and scenic rivers through the Forest Services Plan Revision process. We also lead advocacy efforts to defend public lands statewide with our Public Lands Network, and focus on trespass grows in northern California as part of our Cannabis Removal on Public Lands (CROP) project.”
