“Information for the form 990 is gathered by the sfl treasurer with input from the president and many other board members. Certain portions are reviewed by the president and the chair of the budget and finance committee. After the form 990 is assembled by the accountants and prior to submitting the form to the irs, a draft copy in pdf format is distributed by email to sfl board members for review. Without assistance, this format is not accessible to the half of the board that is blind.”

“All board members are required annually to sign a disclosure regarding conflicts of interest. Sfl monitors adherence to the policy by reviewing the policy at each board meeting and asking members if they are aware of any new potential conflicts of interest. In addition, the executive committee examines each situation which could conceivably involve a conflict and determines the situation before authorizing projects. The individual with the conflict is asked to leave the room and is not allowed to vote on the issue.”

“Ski for light inc.'s bylaws, articles of incorporation, conflict of interest policy, and annual report are available at ski for light's website - www.sfl.org. Financial reports and irs form 990's are available upon request and will be mailed or emailed as appropriate.”

“Due to the covid-19 pandemic, the following changes were made to the organization's programs: the organization's normal ski for light event was not held. Instead, a virtual event was held. See program description at part iii, line 4a. The organization did not send a team to the 2021 ridderrennet as it normally does. See description in part iii, line 4b.”

“The organization's processes for oversight of the compilation and selection of an independent accountant have not changed.”
