Mission

1. Provide assistance to victims and survivors of domestic and sexual violence. 2. Provide shelter care and transitional housing to victims of domestic and sexual violence, stalking, and related crimes. 3. Encourage increased awareness and understanding of domestic and sexual violence, through educating the public. Volunteers donated 13,352 hours of time to the organization with an estimated value of $186,928.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The center is a not-for-profit corporation exempt from income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code and is not classified as private foundation. The center follows the provisions of accounting standards codification (asc) 740 "accounting for income taxes". The center's federal and state income tax returns are subject to possible examination by the taxing authority until the expiration of the related statutes of limitations on those returns. In general, the federal and state income tax returns have a three year statute of limitations. The center would recognize accrued interest and penalties associated with uncertain tax provisions, if any, as part of the income tax provision.
