Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The project is a nonprofit corporation exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue service code. The project has been classified as a publicly supported organization that is not a private foundation under section 509(a) of the code. The financial statements do not include a provision for income taxes. The project has adopted the provisions of fasb asc 740-10 as it might apply to the project's financial transactions. The project's policy is to regularly review its tax positions such as tax status and nexus with its advisors. The project's policy is to record a liability for any tax position that would result in a project obligation for income taxes, including any related interest and penalties, when it is more likely than not the position taken by management with respect to the transaction or class of transactions will be overturned by a taxing authority upon examination. Management believes there are no such positions as of december 31, 2024 and, accordingly, no liability has been recorded.
