Starkey housing, inc. Is a membership organization. Members are family members and/or guardians of adults with intellectual disabilities that starkey supports. Members meet on a semi-annual basis. Members may participate on the nominating committee for the bod and may nominate a member at the annual meeting. Members may also attend the bod meetings, receive the minutes and agenda as well as other exhibits the bod receives.

Per written policy, bod members are required to review and sign the conflict of interest statement annually. They also sign the code of ethics which has numerous references to confilicts of interest. They must avoid conflicts of interest, fully disclose confilcts of interest and potential conflicts of interest when participating in bod decision making, not accept employments as staff in the organization or payment for services rendered as a board member, no self dealing, no acceptance of gifts/favors, and any bod member who fails to disclose a conflict of interest may be subject to removal.
