WE HAD 11,387 DUPLICATED REFERRALS AND 7,923 CHILDREN WERE SERVED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF KANSAS. CONSUMER EDUCATION WAS OFFERED TO EVERY FAMILY TO ASSIST THEM IN RECOGNIZING AND CHOOSING HIGH QUALITY CHILD CARE THAT WOULD MEET THE NEEDS OF THEIR CHILDREN AND FAMILY. REFERRALS ARE CONDUCTED BY TELEPHONE, IN PERSON, AND ONLINE WITH MOST FAMILIES RECEIVING MULTIPLE CHILD CARE REFERRALS AS WELL AS INFORMATION ABOUT COMMUNITY RESOURCES AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT.
