Activity 2

The organization provides treatment to children ages 8 to 18 to address their behavioral and psychiatric issues that prevent them from living in a family setting. The organization offers the only equine therapy and expressive art therapy treatment center in Kansas, located in Dodge City and Newton. Children attend school and participate in highly structured, intensive therapy.

Activity 3

The organization provides a home and loving family for almost 1,600 children in Kansas, licensing more than 350 foster families throughout Kansas. Foster parents provide basic care for children such as shelter, food, clothing, and medical care. They also provide nurturing and discipline. Foster parents provide all the things any parent would provide to a child. Foster parents must be 21 or older, single or married, in good general physical and mental health, financially able to provide for their own families, own or rent a house or an apartment that can meet licensing requirements, and be able to pass child abuse background checks.
