In the current year instead of a modest deficit as seen previously the organization realized a modest operating surplus. We would like to explain what this means and how it aligns with our mission and long-term sustainability. This positive result reflects several intentional efforts: Strategic Growth and Investment: In prior years we invested heavily in building infrastructure developing programs and expanding outreach to establish a strong foundation. Those early investments are now beginning to yield returns in the form of more efficient operations and stronger program delivery. Improved Alignment of Revenue and Expenses: We strengthened our budgeting and cash-flow planning processes to better align the timing of revenue especially grants and contributions with program and operating expenses reducing the timing mismatches that previously contributed to shortfalls. Refined Program Planning: As we refined and expanded our programs we focused on maintaining high-quality services while managing costs responsibly. This careful stewardship allowed us to continue serving the community effectively while ending the year with a modest surplus.
