Additional Explanations

Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4A

The briermost foundation has continued to provide quality recovery housing and promote purpose-filled living to women in recovery from substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Our success continues to surpass the national average - 82% of residents maintain sobriety; 96% have connected to their recovery community of choice; 87% self-report feeling connected to family and/or friends' 88% of residents are employed, in school, or volunteering in the community; 92% have obtained personal documents; and over 98% self-report being happy with the support and structure they receive while living at the recovery house. The agriculture training program provided a farmer's market throughout the summer in slavic village in an area that is conserved a food desert. The training program also produced another successful year of consumer supported agriculture program. This past year has been filled with hope and change.

Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4D

Briermost launched a new project, on the road of recovery. Through grant funding and fundraising our dedicated team have begun to tackle stigma reduction. The project utilizes the in-kind use of an rv to travel ohio in search of uplifting recovery stories from recovering people, family members, allies, and community members. Sharing stories makes recovery real. Addiction is tough, but so are recovering people. Millions have reinvented themselves through various recovery methods and now have the our board of directors and executive team worked with consultants from the opioid response network to create and implement our diversity and inclusion plan. We have successfully completed the plan and have fully implemented in our daily work. The board of directors have also hosted a yard clean up day at the recovery homes.
