Mission

Eicop is an educational arts workforce development organization dedicated to educating, training and recruiting the best and brightest diverse student leaders from our nation's hbcus and other pmis for careers in the media, entertainment and communication industry. This innovative pipeline development program is designed to provide access and opportunity to student groups who have traditionally been underrepresented while meeting the industry's diversity goals of employing a workforce that is reflective of the communities it serves.

The annual Form 990 is reviewed and accepted by our finance committee and then submitted to our Board of Directors for approval prior to submission to the taxing authorities.

At each quarterly Board meeting all members are asked to provide updates to any potential projects, ventures or circumstances which have risen over the past 90 days that could be identified as a potential conflict of interest in their voluntary service as a board member of EICOP.

In compliance with the California Nonprofit Integrity Act of 1996 annually our Executive Director position is reviewed for compensation parity with similar organizations of our size and scale. This review is conducted by an external third party financial management service. This process was last conducted in January 2021 and is completed within the first quarter of each year.
