“Process for Review of Form 990 Prior to filing the Executive Director reviews a draft of Form 990 for accuracy and completeness. The draft Form 990 was then distributed to all members of the governing board for review. Board members were given the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback. After discussion and any necessary revisions the governing board approved the final version before submission to the IRS.”

“Each officer director trustee and key employee is required to complete and sign an annual conflict of interest disclosure form. These disclosures are reviewed by the Executive Director and the Board Secretary. Any potential conflicts are discussed by the governing board and when necessary the individual in question is recused from deliberations and voting on matters related to the conflict. Compliance with the policy is monitored throughout the year by requiring disclosure of any changes in circumstances and by reviewing board minutes for recusals.”

“The compensation for the Executive Director and other key employees is reviewed and approved by the board of directors or an authorized compensation committee composed of individuals who have no conflicts of interest regarding the compensation arrangement. The board committee reviews comparability data from similar organizations including salary surveys and publicly available Form 990s to ensure compensation is reasonable and consistent with market standards. All discussions and decisions are documented in board meeting minutes to provide contemporaneous substantiation.”

Smart Hustle Jr. Elementary Entrepreneurs - An entrepreneurship and STEAM-based program for elementary and middle school students grades 3-8. Participants engage in hands-on projects such as logo creation product design and pop-up shop vending fostering creativity teamwork and foundational business skills.”
