Bay house housing development fund will provide transitional living housing for young adults ages 18-24. The organization is also working with westhab, who is partnering with children's village to provide support services. Children's village will also provide participants with referrals. Westhab and children's village will also provide 1 ft transitional living specialist, 2 resource specialists, and 2 overnight attendants, who collectively will be responsible for providing independent living skill instructions on various topics, including, but not limited to, budgeting, household management, daily living (food preparation, laundry, cleaning), connecting with community resources and making appointments, all with the aim of preparing the residents for a successful transition into stable, permanent housing. All eligible participants will be enrolled in a ged class, vocational education courses, or post secondary training such as college or technical schools.
