Teaching trade skills to secondary HS students

The program introduces secondary students to the trades and teaches the fundamental skills. The program demonstrates teamwork in the hands-on training and builds the desire for quality work product. Combining the trade skills and the ability to communicate in the workplace instills confidence in these teenagers. Our teens, at no cost to them, learn welding, steel and metal fabrication, artistic design, application of geometry, the use of textiles, mechanical aptitude and the repair process. The young people coming through have built two vehicles from fabricated parts from the ground up starting with a single part. We have displayed our completed product at the Specialty Equipment Market Assoc "SEMA" annual trade show. our students have been introduced to many realms of industry and commerce. Young people armed with skills, communication, and confidence become contributors to society. Many of our students have gone on to trade school and many on to college.
