Chris jahn who serves as co-chairman is authorized to appoint and fill vacancies for three other trustees to serve as representatives of the chemical manufacturing industry. Sean mcgarvey who serves as co-chairman is authorized to appoint and fill vacancies for three other trustees to serve as representatives of the building and construction trades unions.

The tax reporting form and supplementary submission material are reviewed and approved each year before filing by the acting cilmc manager, an accountant, a lawyer, and the cilmc treasurer, officer and co-chair.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12C

Cilmc has a conflict of interest (coi) policy which has been in place since cilmc's establishment. Trustees are required to provide an annual statement reflecting their receipt of the coi policy, that they understand and agree to comply with the policy, and that they understand cilmc is a tax-exempt organization, which in order to maintain its tax exemption must primarily engage in activities to accomplish its tax-exempt purposes. In addition, should there be a coi, the meeting minutes describe the individual with a conflict, the nature of the conflict, and the voting proceedings related to the conflict.
