“2020 accomplishments: cga's 2020 program accomplishments: clemente program cga offered the clemente course for the humanities, a college course accredited by bard college, in two of georgia's state prisons (one female, one male) cga offered an additional program in downtown atlanta to formerly incarcerated people in 2020, cga offered college prep courses at a 3rd prison in georgia. The clemente course program will begin at this state prison in 2021. Courses included: literature, art history, philosophy, history, and writing approximately 80 individuals participated in the clemente course programs during 2020 thirty-one incarcerated students graduated from the program with others continuing to work toward graduation two formerly incarcerated students graduated from this program cga with georgia state university cga serves as the community partner for a program in one of georgia's long-term state prisons in which the participants are officially enrolled as georgia state university students in 2020, 18 incarcerated individuals participated in this program taking accredited college level courses earning georgia state university credits alumni advisory board created and procured independent funding for an alumni advisory board consisting of 35 alumni released from prison.”
