DescriptionGrantsExpenses
PRONG 1. End the market for ivory and other elephant parts and the inhumane treatment of elephants: Through our educational arm, The Elephant Times, we conducted research on the activities that contribute to the cruelty and killing of elephants - FOIA requests, legal activities, and surveys. We also provided educational information through The Elephant Times to individuals, governments and NGOs through blogs, books, podcasts, films and documentaries, the Horton series of educational cartoons, speeches, social digital and online activities.$0$94,356
PRONG 3. Develop humane economies that will provide perpetual funding for the care and protection of wild and captive elephants. We invested in the preliminary designs of environmentally friendly and zero carbon sanctuaries that will create a humane economy that will provide for the perpetual funding for the care and support of elephants within the sanctuary. Additionally, we established The Elephant Store that will support humane economies through the promotion of goods and services that will support economies that are actively investing in the protection of elephants.$0$33,186
PRONG 2. End human-elephant conflicts: We built electric fences to mitigate human elephant conflicts between villagers and elephants where elephants have been in search of food due to environmental challenges, poachers, and other man-made conflicts. We also entered into an agreement with the Myanmar government to relocate elephants that in areas of high human-elephant conflicts to safe zones. We are also investing in efforts that will help restore elephants natural habitats.$0$29,642
