Part III, Line 28 (Program Service Accomplishments): While IndieSpace certainly continued on our space search and made new partnerships and relationships in 2017, we spent much of the year focusing on our advisory and consulting services. We successfully found expanded space for The Tank, a not for profit theater presenting organization that serves over 2,000 indie theater artists per year. Our organization was made aware of a potential space closing (The Abingdon Theater) and we had already been advising The Tank on their potential space move. We put the building owner and The Tank together, we worked on lease terms with them, advised them and helped define certain lease clauses for them, and brought the deal together to a successful lease signing. The Tank doubled their programming space. A theater that was on its way to becoming commercial office space remained a theater. IndieSpace worked on this deal from start to finish free of charge to the arts organization. We've done consulting with several other orgs in 2017 as well. SoHo Playhouse on the potential sale of the building that houses their theater, 3LD on issues they were running into with their city landlord (the MTA), Frigid NY on lease negotiations with their two landlords, Italy Kairos Theater on their search for space, FringeNYC on expanding their programming to the boroughs and the Artist Co-Op on their space search and then lease signing in Hell's Kitchen. We believe we've made a significant impact on these organizations and truly helped them navigate these difficult situations. They had real estate expertise on their side which allowed for a more even playing field at the negotiating table.
