Additional Explanations

Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4A

Charis center provides pregnancy testing and ultrasound, options consultation, abortion pill reversal, prenatal education, parenting classes, adoption guidance, and post-abortion support. During 2024, charis served approximately 255 women in need of pregnancy testing and ultrasound; an average of 130 women and men took educational parenting classes weekly and in turn earned baby supplies; over 11,000 diapers were given out. Also in 2024 our fatherhood center, named the garage, was completed. It is a place for young men to learn how to be a dad. We hired a mens director who, together with male mentors, work to equip new dads with tools needed to be successful fathers. Approximately 101 young men went through the fatherhood program. All services are provided at no cost to recipients.

DURING 2024, CHARIS SERVED APPROXIMATELY 255 WOMEN IN NEED OF PREGNANCY TESTING AND ULTRASOUND; AN AVERAGE OF 130 WOMEN AND MEN TOOK EDUCATIONAL PARENTING CLASSES WEEKLY AND IN TURN EARNED BABY SUPPLIES; OVER 11,000 DIAPERS WERE GIVEN OUT. ALSO IN 2024 OUR FATHERHOOD CENTER, NAMED THE GARAGE, WAS COMPLETED. IT IS A PLACE FOR YOUNG MEN TO LEARN HOW TO BE A DAD. WE HIRED A MENS DIRECTOR WHO, TOGETHER WITH MALE MENTORS, WORK TO EQUIP NEW DADS WITH TOOLS NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL FATHERS. APPROXIMATELY 101 YOUNG MEN WENT THROUGH THE FATHERHOOD PROGRAM. ALL SERVICES ARE PROVIDED AT NO COST TO RECIPIENTS.
