“Form 990-EZ, Part III - Organization's Primary Exempt Purpose: ACRA seeks to train the next generation of top-tier rowers both for competition and for recreation. We customize our training towards our rowers' goals, be it following a strict training schedule to perform well in the next regatta or simply developing good technique to enjoy the experience of rowing. Our experienced, certified coaches offer lessons for novices as well as intense workouts for varsity athletes training for elite-level regattas. ACRA offers rowing programs at all age levels from junior high school through adult. Rowing with ACRA is highly beneficial to health and fitness and also helps develop teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship and a healthy competitive drive. As a high-performance competitive club, ACRA sets an objective to qualify for and rank well in the Youth National Championship every year. In 2016, 14 rowers qualified at the Youth Nationals at Sarasota-Bradenton, Florida (home to the 2017 world championship). A cadre of motivated youth rowers has been at the core of the club's recent successes. In turn, the club continues to invest in shells and equipment to continue to meet and exceed their goals and aspirations.
