ALL WERE REGISTERED WITH THE MA ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE AND MAINTAINED AND SUBMITTED REQUIRED RECORDS OF DATES AND HOURS CONDUCTING SUCH ACTIVITY AND THE BILLS THAT WERE THE OBJECT OF SUCH LOBBYING EFFORTS. GRASSROOTS LOBBYING EXPENSES WERE NEGLIGIBLE, BECAUSE OTHER ORGANIZATIONS WITH GRASSROOTS STAFF CONDUCTED THIS OUTREACH. TOTAL CXC LOBBYING TIME AND EXPENSE REMAINED SUBSTANTIALLY BELOW THE 20% OF TOTAL EXPENSES AND FINANCED BY UNRESTRICTED REVENUES. IN 2017, CLIMATE XCHANGE EDUCATION AND RESEARCH, INC (CXC) CONDUCTED LIMITED,TARGETED LOBBYING TO SUPPORT SPECIFIC CARBON TAX LEGISLATION IN THE MA LEGISLATURE.
