The Childrens Community Theatre Program is the most significant program for the Arts Center In 2024 this included 3 performances of Once Upon a Mattress Youth Edition with a cast of 35 students in 4th through 12th grades The performances included one for local elementary school students with an estimate of 350 in attendance and two public performances with 614 total in attendance The programs objective is to provide a quality performing arts experience locally for both theatre-makers and audience members Beyond that the goal of the program is to provide students with experience in the performing arts growing creativity and personal expression as well as building their soft skills For audiences the goal is to provide local arts culture for entertainment and enrichment adding to their quality of life in rural Kansas-$6,866
The Community Mural Program is the second most significant program for the Arts Center In 2024 this included the installation of 4 murals 2 in the City of Anthony 1 at the Anthony Lake and 1 in the City of Attica Two of the murals the Lake and Attica project were of the Harper County Flag a grass-roots movement designed for unified county pride and these murals were painted by local elementary school students overseen by the Arts Center One of the Anthony murals was also community-painted at a downtown building neighboring the Arts Center facility The other Anthony mural was a bill-board style piece printed and installed on an aluminum round-top barn just outside the city limits This mural was a beautiful welcome sign to the city The programs objective is to beautify Harper County providing public art in a variety of locations for residents and visitors to experience Beyond that the goal of the program is to provide local arts culture for enjoyment and enrichment adding to their quality of life in rural Kansas-$6,150
The Adult Community Theatre Program is the third most significant program for the Arts Center In 2024 this included 2 performances of The Death Life of Sneaky Fitch with a cast of 16 adults from Anthony Harper Kansas The performances included two public performances with 347 total in attendance The programs objective is to provide a quality performing arts experience locally for both theatre-makers and audience members Beyond that the goal of the program is to provide adults with experience in the performing arts growing creativity and personal expression as well as building community For audiences the goal is to provide local arts culture for entertainment and enrichment adding to their quality of life in rural Kansas-$1,448
