To provide educational programs that focus on the transformation of lives through music with a focus on making music accessible to all people without regard to their socioeconomic status. Through providing free or low-cost opportunities for the young and underserved population in communities, such as masterclasses, performances, workshops and information sessions, elevar is able to advance education and promote classical music to all segments of society. Through partnering with for-profit entities, the foundation matches under-privileged youth with the needed resources to pursue music and enhance their quality of life. Elevar, through one of its most active programs, the elmar oliveira international violin competition, mentors young violinists, ages 16-32, to be citizen artists and actively engage with the communities they live in and serve.
