Mission and Program Overview

Mission

Our mission at Sindisa Sanctuary is to provide a forever home for rescued farm animals and to share their joy of freedom with our visitors on 125 acres in Healdsburg, CA. We hope to raise awareness around the fact that all animals are sentient beings who deserve fundamental rights and compassion.

Our program accomplishments during 2017 consisted of providing sanctuary to 54 farm animals including 24 horses, 2 cows, 10 pigs and 18 alpacas. We have also made progress towards educating our community about animal welfare through informative tours of the sanctuary where visitors can meet our rescue residents and learn about each one of their stories. Our sanctuary tours have made a profound impact on our visitors who often have never met a farm animal in person.
