Form 990 is reviewed by the board of directors prior to filing. The board has the ability to ask questions and clarrifications to responses, finanical infomation presented and highlighting program service accomplishments.

Livin foundation requires that board members disclose at least annually any conflicts that may exist with any interested parties. Disclosure must be made to the executive director. The board of directors shall determine if a conflict exists and if the transaction appears to be just, fair and reasonable in advancing the mission of livin foundation.

Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 15A

Officer compensation policy purpose this policy establishes guidelines for determining and approving the compensation of officers of the organization. The goal is to ensure that pay practices are fair, reasonable, and consistent with the organization's mission, resources, and legal obligations as a not-for-profit entity. Scope this policy applies to all officers of the organization who receive compensation for their services. Currently, two officers are compensated for administrative and program oversight duties. Principles reasonableness: compensation will be reasonable and comparable to similar positions at organizations of similar size, mission, and geographic area. Accountability: all decisions regarding compensation will be documented and approved in accordance with this policy and applicable laws. Transparency: procedures and decisions will be transparent to the board of directors, donors, and relevant governmental bodies. Procedure for determining compensation annual review: officer compensation will be reviewed annually by the board of directors or a designated compensation committee. The review will assess duties performed, organizational performance, and any changes in responsibilities. Comparability data: the committee will consult salary survey data or information from comparable organizations to ensure that pay levels are within reasonable market ranges. Board approval: any compensation levels or adjustments must be approved by a majority of board members who have no financial interest in the compensation being approved. Documentation: the organization will maintain written records of the compensation deliberations, including comparability data, conflict of interest disclosures, and board meeting minutes. Compensation components officers may receive a salary commensurate with time commitment and responsibility. Reimbursement for approved business expenses will be made in accordance with the organization's expense reimbursement policy.

Livin foundation hosts online qpr (question persuade refer) sessions to educate and train individuals how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crises and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. It is the most widely taught gatekeeper training in the united states that teaches best practices in suicide prevention. These sessions are intended for anyone 18 years of age or older and professionals including healthcare workers, first responders, law enforcement, educators, clergy, bankers, lawyers and more.
