“Our fellows represent groups that are traditionally underrepresented in the law, i.e., low-income students, students of color, and/or first generation college students. 44% of our fellows are first generation high school graduates, and 76% will be first generation college graduates. Each fellow will be paired with three mentors, comprised of two lawyers and a law student, all of whom commit to mentor the fellow during their college attendance, including providing general emotional support, helping them select courses and work/intern experience, providing insight on the benefits of a career in law, as well as demystifying the process of applying to law school. We are on track to have 98.4% of our fellows graduate in the last four years, we have presented 53 workshops and events, administered 68 meyers-briggs assessments; our fellows and mentors met 1,464 times; our fellows have taken 305 practice lsats; our outreach committee made 87 presentations; board members traveled 125,673 miles; and our mentors, board members, and instructors have volunteered 19,317 hours.”
