| IRS990ScheduleA/Form990ScheduleAPartVIGrp/ExplanationTxt | 0 | During the 2024 tax year, Compton Community Development Corporation received public support primarily from charitable grants and contributions used to advance its exempt purpose of improving maternal, postpartum, and generational health outcomes in the Greater Compton and South Los Angeles area. Major support included $137,500 in grant funding from the California Community Foundation and $7,142 in contributions from the organization's founder, which were applied to program development and administrative startup costs. The organization did not receive any unusual grants, government contracts, or noncash contributions during the year. All contributions were used directly for community benefit activities consistent with the organization's mission and exempt purpose. |

| ReasonableCauseExplanation/ExplanationTxt | 0 | Compton Community Development Corporation experienced unavoidable administrative delays related to staffing transitions and the implementation of new accounting and reporting systems during the reporting year. These challenges temporarily limited our ability to compile and verify financial data required for the Form 990-EZ. Once the oversight was identified, the organization acted promptly to complete the return, reconcile all records, and file as quickly as possible. CCDC has since established improved internal controls, including a fixed annual reporting calendar, expanded bookkeeping support, and external CPA review, to ensure timely compliance in future years. The late filing was not due to willful neglect but resulted from reasonable cause and circumstances beyond our immediate control. |
