Northern Virginia Veterans Association

NOVA Veterans employs a comprehensive case management system coupled with a network of known and vetted partners to develop a customized course of action and wellness plan for each veteran and or that veteran's caregiver. We first holistically assess each veteran's most pressing needs and then focus on follow-on issues to ensure comprehensive services wrap-around support reintegration healthcare employment education family and caregiver support legal aid housing transportation and community engagement. Our vision is that of a thriving community of veterans in Virginia who experience freedom are empowered with the means to use the resources to improve their lives and who have comfort in knowing they have our continued support.

NOVA Veterans Associations mission is critical in that we provide the one thing the elderly and underserved dont have - equitable access to the services they need. We are a personal comprehensive case management and advocacy service which is fundamentally different than a resource directory or a navigation service. We work with each veteran so we understand their needs comprehensively then coordinate services and always follow up. Most Veteran Service Organizations focus on supporting only a single immediate need for which the veteran is seeking help. However veterans who are in poverty disabled elderly or have mental health challenges have a complex set of needs that must be addressed to improve their quality of life. NOVA Veterans support holistically over the long-term because our veterans deserve more than a short-term temporary fix. We provide continuity of support through multiple partner organizations using our Veteran Quality of Life Cycle model.
