The executive director and spouse are the only employees in the organization. The board of directors oversees their responsiblities and also sets compensation. This is evaluated annually.

Management duties delegation Part VI line 3

The board delegates day to day operation to the executive director. The board provides governance whereas executive director provides management. The executive director and board meet monthly where it is required to report on the state of the organization. We also track key metrics against which the executive director is evaluated on annually.

The executive director forwards the tax return to all members of the board for review. Once reviewed and no questions or changes, the return would be filed by the executive director.

Blue ridge fellows board of directors has approved and all members sign a conflict of interest agreement.conflict of interest policythe board and staff members of the blue ridge fellows program are encouraged to play active roles in their communities by serving as board members or otherwise being involved with a wide spectrum of nonprofit organizations. This means that, from time to time, potential conflicts of interest or the appearance of such conflicts will inevitably arise. It is the blue ridge fellows programs policy to deal with such conflicts in as open and appropriate a way as possible.

Each year the board of directors approve all compensation. The executive director is entitled a salary of $14,500, and the assistant director is entitled to a salary of $6,000. Both are responsible to fundraise for anything in addition to as additional salary. The board has set caps for each salary of $95,000 and $55,000 respectively. In addition, when the price of health insurance became prohibitive the board changed our practice of purchasing heath insurance instead gave the director an additional $20,000 annually which can be used to self fund participation in a christian medical sharing organization and unofficial health savings account.

Each year the board of directors approve all employee compensation. The assistant director is entitled to a salary of $6,000. She is responsible to fundraise for anything in addition to as additional salary. The board has set a cap of $55,000.

THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR IS ENTITLED A SALARY OF $14,500, AND THE ASSISTANT DIRECTOR IS ENTITLED TO A SALARY OF $6,000. BOTH ARE RESPONSIBLE TO FUNDRAISE FOR ANYTHING IN ADDITION TO AS ADDITIONAL SALARY. THE BOARD HAS SET CAPS FOR EACH SALARY OF $95,000 AND $55,000 RESPECTIVELY. IN ADDITION, WHEN THE PRICE OF HEALTH INSURANCE BECAME PROHIBITIVE THE BOARD CHANGED OUR PRACTICE OF PURCHASING HEATH INSURANCE INSTEAD GAVE THE DIRECTOR AN ADDITIONAL $20,000 ANNUALLY WHICH CAN BE USED TO SELF FUND PARTICIPATION IN A CHRISTIAN MEDICAL SHARING ORGANIZATION AND UNOFFICIAL HEALTH SAVINGS ACCOUNT.
