INCORPORATED INTO THE STRUCTURE, THERE WAS A CARVING WORKSHOP TO PRODUCE THE ARCHITECTURAL PIECES THAT FORMED THE ARCHED ENTRANCE, CORNER PIECES AND AN OCULUS WINDOW. A LETTER CARVING WORKSHOP PRODUCED AN INSCRIPTION IN A LARGE STANDING BOULDERTHAT WAS INSTALLED AT THE CENTER OF THE COURTYARD. AN ARCHITECTURAL CARVING WORKSHOP TOOK PLACE AT THE SAME TIME. THE INSTRUCTOR OF THE WORKSHOP CARVED A FACE INTO THE KEYSTONE OF THE OCULUS WINDOW. THE SECOND PART OF THE SYMPOSIUM TOOK PLACE IN GUALALA CALIFORNIA AT THE GUALALA ARTS CENTER. WE CONTINUED OUR LECTURE SERIES FOCUSING ON THE STONE RELATED TRADES AND SPECIAL PROJECTSPRESENTED BY OUR MEMBERS. AFTER THE SYMPOSIUM WE HOSTED A SERIES OF FIVE WORKSHOPS THAT LASTED 3-7 DAYS.
