Our Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation CAFO Initiative examines CAFO practices, state and local oversight of CAFO expansion, and impacts on local communities and the environment. We oversee new and existing CAFOs to ensure that each operation is complying with it discharge permit, and that each new permit issued by the state complies with all requirements.$80,520$139,000
Industrial: EAC watchdogs agricultural and industrial operations throughout the Chesapeake Bay watershed as well as in western Pennsylvania. Our Clean Water Act enforcement initiative addresses problematic sources of pollution within each watershed and waterway, and pressures polluters to cleanup their operations in order to protect the regions water resources.$80,520$40,000
