During 2024, Canopy Life International Kenya's accomplishments included the following:A. Our first full class of High school students completed senior Exams in November 2024!B. We reached our fundraising goals of raising $1.48 million USD for a campus expansion to start in 2025. This expansion will include 2 new homes and a new academic facility. A confirmed scope of work and formal estimate of works were created by our architect in Kenya and we identified a construction company to handle the project once permits were established. C. Student Tour: we hosted a small group of 3 students and 1 adult from Canopy Life to visit the US in April. They visited sponsor and donors, and enjoyed cultural and career experiences. D. Staff Training Retreat: We partnered with a church in Atlanta to offer our 30 staff members a 3 day retreat in soul care and formation. It was a huge success in that it invigorated and renewed our staff for the work they do with our students. E. Campus Projects in 2024: 1. IRS990/MissionDesc0Canopy Life International's (the Organization") purpose is to open schools abroad with a particular focus on innovation and leadership. The mission is to adopt a curriculum that focuses on building a country's next generation of leaders. We do this through quality education, intentional relationships and environments that spark the imagination. Specifically, we are integrating design thinking into the national Kenyan curriculum, adjusting the teaching model to promote critical thinking amongst the students, and exposing them to the arts and other worldview experiences otherwise unreachable to students of their economic position. The Organization is also a Christian organization, standing firmly on the values of faith, family and Jesus Christ to guide students into strong character and purpose.
