Mission and Program Overview

Mission

Mission: Gateway Human Trafficking educates communities and inspires positive systemic change to end human trafficking. Vision: Creating a safe world for all children. Core Values are; Integrity: We accomplish our goals in a way that is honest, transparent, and ethical. Community: Fighting human trafficking does not happen in a vacuum; We believe collaboration with our community partners and agencies is key to our success. Empowerment: We strive to empower communities to improve the lives of their citizens by fixing systemic problems that breed the growth of human trafficking. Courage: We aspire to be courageous and willing to take risks in the pursuit of transformational change to end human trafficking. Good Stewardship: We make wise use of the resources provided to us to serve our community. Accountability: Everyone takes responsibility for their actions and attitude. Inclusiveness: we are deeply committed to embracing diversity, inclusion, and equity; everyone is respected.

The organization helps communities see the hidden crime of human trafficking. Its programs build a path to more equitable understanding of the problem since as a multi-culture criminal activity, human trafficking is more than just a single subject to be taught; it is a concept that should infuse almost every subject that makes vulnerable people to be targeted by traffickers. Lack of community awareness and existence of various types of social discriminations that some of our community members face make them even more vulnerable to trafficking situations. Gateway human trafficking's goal is to empower our communities through education about how to identify- and report- human trafficking to minimize victimization of vulnerable people. The organization addresses human trafficking in the context of social justice education program, since it believes education is the engine of justice, economic growth, and the best investment we can make in the future of our society.
