The mission of Man Up and Go is to mobilize men to fight for the fatherless as Jesus commands. We believe children benefit in every measurable way the presence of a loving, committed father in the home. To that end, we seek to GATHER men together to educate and train them on the plight of the fatherless, encourage men to GIVE of their time, talents, and treasure to fund the fight for the fatherless, and deploy them to GO into the world to provide wraparound support services, mentoring, and coaching to those impacted by fatherlessness. Our ultimate goal is these activities would lead to a world where there is A Father for Every Child.

The mission of Man Up and Go is to spark a passion in our men to fight for the fatherless at home and abroad as Jesus commanded. We engage the current orphan population by providing a Christian education and food security, empower single mothers to earn an income when dad has abdicated responsibility, and equip men to lead with our Authentic Masculinity Program thereby preventing future orphans.

“Page 2 Part III - Line 4a - Statement of Service Program Accomplishments Man Up continues to work towards the ultimate goal of seeing A Father for Every Child. This father doesnt have to be a biological father or even an earthly one, although we certainly continue to strive for that. We know that when men step in as surrogate fathers, foster fathers, mentors, coaches, or any kind of father-figure, children have a greater opportunity to thrive. The first half of 2024 brought about much maturity and growth in our programs and infrastructure, even in the structure of our accounting, as we moved our fiscal year to align more strategically with our stated goals. (Starting in July of 2024, our fiscal year will run from July-June each year.) Programmatically, Man Up continues to serve those impacted by fatherlessness in ways that work upstream to prevent future breakdowns. We served over 500 children in both foster care and non-foster care settings, wrapping around these families with over 3000 support services, ranging from meals, to diapers to work projects around the house. Anything to help support them in their caregiver journey. This support was cited as a key reason each of the 96 families chose to keep their license active. Man Up continues to mentor youth and young men both in the foster care system, aging out of the foster care system, and those at-risk of coming into the system. Over 100 youth received at least weekly mentorship in group home, school, and out of school settings. 80% saw a reduction in disciplinary actions or delinquent behavior; 85% reported an increase in confidence and ability to make good decisions; 85% reported stronger relationships with coaches, peers, and family. We engaged more fathers than ever in the first half of 2024 (over 100), with nearly 70% of all fathers successfully meeting state-mandated Conditions for Return within 180 days of enrollment! This is a tremendous success and we give God praise for it! Not only that, but 100% of fathers did not experience subsequent maltreatment findings 6 months following completion of program. Internationally, 160 men enrolled in our Authentic Masculinity Program in Uganda and Ethiopia. Phase 1 teaches the role of a man as husband, father, provider, and protector. Phase 2 of the program teaches Income Generating Activities (IGA) training and development. We polled the wives of the men who completed the program: 100% reported their marriage improved! 80% reported better communication with their husband. 50% reported an improved financial status 100% reported their husbands relationship with their children improved! One of the most important strategic decisions we made in 2024 was the expansion of our Patros curriculum and discipleship training tool, which helps men to be better men, volunteers to better volunteer, and staff to serve constituents and recruit men in the church and business world to engage in ending fatherlessness alongside us. We created an additional resource for men and fathers called The Counter Kingdom, which teaches men and fathers how to navigate a system and world which constantly tries to derail us from our purpose. We also completed the pilot program for the Man As curriculum, which offers wisdom and council from men like Coach Tony Dungy, hip-hop artist KB, and former Florida Speaker of the House Chris Sprowls, on how we should conduct ourselves as men, husbands, partners, and fathers. Over 120 men and 10 partner churches and organizations participated, launching us into the second phase of the Patros initiative, which will be to publish corresponding hard copy study guides for men to keep notes. Were excited about what this curriculum can do for not only for the end user, but for men, churches, and organizations looking to use the Patros tool as a means to mentor, learn, coach, and grow. Finally we had our first ever major fundraiser in the Tampa area we dubbed the Drive to End Fatherlessness, which raised over $250,000 for our caus”

Our ultimate goal is these activities would lead to a world where there is A Father for Every Child. |
