Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4A

Susannah's house program accomplishments include providing support to mothers seeking to maintain their sobriety, in addition to intensive outpatient treatment. In the past year 130 people received services or referrals and consultations, including children, pregnant women, and parenting mothers. 59 women served in the intensive outpatient program and 76 children were served on site. Susannah's house works with women during their pregnancies to achieve a healthy outcome for their substance exposed infants. They provide substance abuse recovery referrals, support and group therapy and classes related to relapse prevention, relationship boundaries, seeking safety, art therapy, physical, mental and spiritual well being, and parenting. Susannah's house provided childcare, wholesome meals, toiletries and hygiene supplies, clothing, and child necessities. They assisted mothers with accessing community services such as medical and dental service referrals, employment assistance, housing referrals, and court and dcs assistance. They also provided nutrition education, birth control, and smoking cessation education in partnership with knox county health department.

The organization accounts for uncertain tax positions using a two-step approach. The first step is to determine whether it is more likely than not that a tax position will be sustained upon examination, including resolution of any related appeals or litigation processes, based on the technical merits of the position. The second step is to measure and recognize in the financial statements the largest amount of benefit that is greater than 50% likely of being realized upon the ultimate settlement. The organization had no uncertain tax positions that required significant adjustments to the financial statements as of june 30, 2020 and 2019.
