IRS990/Desc0The Two Harbors Area Food Shelf (THAFS) has been serving the Two Harbors area in rural Lake County, as well as surrounding counties of St. Louis and Cook since 1982. We became a 501c3 nonprofit effective Janaury 1, 2015. Our primary food distribution is on Tuesdays from 10am to 3:45pm with an added distribution from 3-6pm on the second Thursday of each month. In 2024, we provided 189,000 pounds of perishable and non-perishable items to 1,119 individuals during 2,877 total visists the food shelf. 135 households visited the food shelf for help two or more times each month-increased by 11% over 2023. Age demographics of our clients: 28% are children (0-17) 58% are adults (18-64) and 175 are seniors (65+). Total visits were up 7% compared to 2023.
