To strengthen the recovery community through peer-to-peer and family support, public education and advocacy.

Springs Recovery Connection's (SRC) mission is to strengthen the recovery community through peer-to-peer and family support, public education and advocacy.

Program Services

DescriptionGrantsExpenses
Recovery Coaching Program: Trained Peer Recovery Coaches are matched with individuals seeking recovery to offer ongoing weekly support to help identify and remove barriers to long term recovery. SRC collected data from pre and post interviews of those receiving peer recovery coaching services. Of the individuals served,86% reported a decrease in substance use, 46% reported an increase in positive family relationships, 90% achieved stable housing mainly through sober living or treatment centers, 26% were able to gain employment, 66% reported an increase in health and wellness. Demographic data shows 80% male and 20% female participants. Average age is 31, 7% Hispanic/Latino, 86% White/Caucasian, and 7% Other.$0$0
Education and Training: Individuals in long term recovery are trained to become Peer Recovery Coaches. Family members who have experience with substance use disorder are also trained to support other families through Family Recovery Coaching. Naloxone Overdose Prevention training is provided to individuals and family members living with an opioid addict. 65 new recovery coaches were trained with 3 receiving the first ever Colorado Peer and Family Specialist certification from the state of Colorado. 98% of participants in Naloxone overdose prevention training showed knowledge gains in recognizing cause/signs of opioid overdose, what to do in case of an overdose, how to administer Naloxone, and how Naloxone works on overdose victims.$0$0
Recovery Support and Family Support Meetings: All Recovery Wellbriety Group is a twelve-step recovery program based on the Native American medicine wheel and open to everyone. Family Support Group is focused on educating parents and others who want to understand addiction and how it affects their family, the community, and the individual. Individuals and families were assisted with finding inpatient and outpatient treatment. On average, 50 people a month sought services, attended meetings, and solicited information about the program.$0$0
