“MISSION STATEMENTBitterroot Therapeutic Riding (BTR) is dedicated to providing a medically coordinated program of therapeutic horseback riding to individuals of all ages with physical or emotional disabilities. BTR promotes healthy fun, enhanced by the joy of sharing, and the pride of accomplishment. The purpose of BTR and the purpose of horsemenship is to achieve and sustain wellness and balance for the body, mind, and spirit.PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTSBTR has provided therapeutic riding and interactive vaulting for over 100 individuals during the course of the past year Our organization conducts classes year round. Individuals with autism, brain injuries,cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, learning disabilities, and emotional issues, just to name a few, are treated to our equine therapy that often works when clinical therapy does not. Adults and children of all ages and varying abilities are welcome at our facitly in our ongoing attempt to be of service and to empower our riders as they focus on personal goals.”
