“The purpose for which this organization was formed is to promote and encourage the cooperation and mutal assistance to serve the christian community of the schuyler, nebraska, area; to promote christian fellowship and provide assistance to those in need in the schuyler, nebraska, area; to provide necessary christian worship services within the community; to operate the food pantry of colfax county, nebraska; to provide community assistance in the form of funds to provide transportation, housing or other emergency assistance; to work on specific programs and problems within the schuyler, nebraska, community and cooperation with other agencies when necessary in a common christian prospective; to enlist public support and to encourage public involvement in the promotion and implementation of these services and programs; to solicit and receive contributions, gifts, grants and devises or requests of real or personal property or both, from individuals, foundations, partnerships, associations, governmental bodies, or public or private corporation and to maintain, use and apply directly or indirectly, the whole or any part of the principal and income thereof; to aid or assist other organizations whose activities are such as to further, accomplish, foster or attain such purposes as set forth herein; for all such powers which may now or hereafter be granted by the nebraska non- profit corporation ace; further, this corporation is organized exclusive for charitable, educational, religious, or scientific purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code.”

“The schuyler ministerial association is comprised of a food pantry and a client assistance program. In 2020, colfax county, nebraska was one of the most highly impacted covid-19 counties in the united states. During this time the schuyler ministerial associates had to write moany more grants to ask for assistance in order to serve over 150 families per week during the year. The colfax county food pantry provides food and supplies needed to serve people with food insecurities. The schuyler ministerial association provides assistance to those in need in the schuyler, nebraska, area. They operate this assistance in the form of transportation, housing and other emergency assistance.”
