“The mission of knplcb is to educate and interact with the public encouraging beautification, a litter free environment, and waste reduction through recycling.”

“Education program: we conducted 14 educational workshops/booths with a total of 832 participants. 74 individuals volunteered for a total of 57 hours valued at 1,648. 1,190 informational pieces were distributed. Waste reduction and recycling program: we conducted 14 events with 505 participants. 37 individuals volunteered for a total of 68.5 hours valued at 1,473. 1,463 informational pieces were delivered. Recycling services netted 530 volunteers totaling 3,053 hours. This is valued at 66,917. Litter prevention and cleanup: 79 cleanups took place with a total of 885 volunteers. 2,365 volunteer hours were logged for a value of 43,887. Beautification: 10 beautification efforts were performed by 95 volunteers. Volunteers recorded 371 hours of service for a total value of 5,168.”
