Termination and Transfer of Assets

Pursuant to the Board Resolution dated 9/29/20, TAFB-SPE dissolved and liquidated effective 9/30/20. The building and equipment were transferred to TAFB-SPE's supported organization, Tarrant Area Food Bank (EIN: 78-1822473).

Financial Statement Notes

Part X, Fin 48 Disclosure

The Organization follows FASB ASC topic Accounting for Uncertainty in Income Taxes. Under this guidance, an organization must recognize the tax benefit associated with tax positions taken for tax return purposes when it is more-likely-than-not that the position will be sustained. The organization does not believe there are any unrecognized tax benefits or liabilities that should be recorded. For the years ended September 30, 2019 and 2020, there were no interest or penalties recorded or incurred related to taxes. The Organization is still open to examination by taxing authorities from 2016 forward.
