Mission

The josephine county foundation's mission is to educate high school students about non-profits, have them operate an actual business, learning skills such as public speaking, finances, fundraising, project management, leadership, teamwork, and to perform community work which results in a better educated, healthier and more vibrant community.

A student-led non-profit with the mission of transforming josephine county into a better educated, healthier and more vibrant community while students learn life skills not included in their school curriculums such as running a business, project management, public speaking, leadership and etiquette.

Complete copies of form 990 and schedules a,b,i and o were provided to all josephine county foundation board members and they were reviewed and discussed at the october 3, 2022 board of director's meeting.

Form 990, Part VI, Line 12C: Explanation of Monitoring and Enforcement of Conflicts

Annually all josephine county foundation board members and student officers read, discuss and sign jcf's conflict of interest statement. All potential conflicts are noted and kept track of to insure no transactions are undertaken where there is a potential conflict. If there is a conflict, then the board makes a decision without the participation of the conflicted individual.

THE GOAL OF THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM IS FOR RECIPIENTS TO GET A COLLEGE DEGREE (ESPECIALLY FIRST IN FAMILY TO GET A COLLEGE DEGREE) AND RETURN TO JOSEPHINE COUNTY FOR THEIR CAREERS. THE PROGRAM ALSO ASSISTS STUDENTS AT ROGUE RIVER HIGH SCHOOL IN JACKSON COUNTY.
