In 2016 this was accomplished through H2O, a two hour per week after-school homework program; Family Nights with dinner, round table family board games, sent home with the families, and musical performances by the children; a week-long morning summer camp with crafts, stories, outdoor games, and music; a Christmas party with gifts for every child; home visits by mentors to assess and address the needs of families. Approximately 200 children were served during 2016. Adopt-A-Block Community Outreach identifies and meets the needs of the surrounding community. This support is delivered through: community cleanup, block events, sports camps, bike repair, etc.
