“The mission of the stem development foundation (sdf) is to bring together community leaders to foster science, technology, engineering and math (stem) education, work to increase the number of participants in stem programs in k-12, technical colleges and universities, and to be a hub for stem activities.”
“The first accomplishment of stem development foundation (sdf) is organizing special events (non-fundraising) that bring local companies and future talent (namely junior-high through high school students) together so that the students may learn about educational / career development paths that involve science, technology, engineering and math (i.e. Stem). The organization will solicit local companies with career paths in stem to sponsor the special event while being an active participant in the event. This is done by having a theme and booths established with interactive displays by the local companies for hands on experience allowing the companies to encourage students to pursue stem related careers.”
