IRS990/Desc0SVFB is run by a six member working board of directors, an executive director, operations manager, operations assistant and many volunteers. Collectively we bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in fighting hunger, understanding food systems, working in non-profits, and volunteering our time to serving those in need in our community. In 2021, a total of 9,524 household visits were recorded. The majority of our clients are considered the most vulnerable with 33% children, 38% adults and 29% senior citizens. Typically, SVFB is a grocery store model food pantry where clients may shop once a week, during our distribution hours, to choose what they prefer. Senior citizens, typically, have the option of shopping during hours dedicated just for them which allows easier parking, to shop at a slower pace, and receive extra assistance if needed. SVFB partners with Northwest Harvest, Food Lifeline and the Emergency Food Assistance Program. Combined resources from industry partners, grocery pick up program, food drives, fundraisers and food purchased allowed us to distribute over 536,000 pounds of food to our community in 2021.

IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy3Grp/Desc0SVFB partners with Snoqualmie Valley Pet Food Bank, who provides pet food to more than 200 pets with food and supplies each month. We partner with Eastside Baby Corner to provide diapers, baby food, formula, wipes, and clothing for babies, children, and mothers, with over 500 families assisted. Our staff communicates directly with clients to fulfill other needs such as cribs, car seats, and more. We partner with Mt. Si Lutheran Church and other community members to provide new back to school supplies, and backpacks for each student to start the school year. In 2021, over 300 children received school supplies. SVFB partners with Snoqualmie Valley Kiwanis and registers hundreds of families each year to receive holiday gifts for their children. We are an assisting partner agency with Washington Connection and our staff help clients apply for and renew things like SNAP benefits, childcare, healthcare and more. SVFB is typically a host site for the Women Infants Children (WIC) program as well as a partner location for DSHS and other human service agencies that come to the food bank and meet with clients about various services available to them.
