| ACBA grows and strengthens the cooperative economy in central Texas through technical assistance member support and advocacy. In 2024 ACBA supported the development of a consumer owned cooperative grocery store as the stakeholders democratically decided all elements of the business plan recruited 300 members and elected a board of six. ACBA also supported several co-op business clients with developing their operations and financial plans. ACBA completed over 100 hours of coaching support for co-op business clients. Additionally ACBA hosted the second annual Co-opportunity Fair to create a space where member cooperatives can connect with the public and recruit employees members and clients. To complete these activities ACBA maintained partnerships with aligned organizations and the City economic development department.
